Join our People & Development team, either remote in Germany or on-site/hybrid at our locations in Essen, Frankfurt am Main, Karlsruhe, Munich, Oberhaching, or Stuttgart.
As Head of People Operations EMEA, you lead our HR Administration team and own employment law, HR data and contract management. You work hands-on, building on profound expertise, and report to our Chief of People & Development. Your team will be one out of three People Services ensuring seamless collaboration with the Talent Acquisition and the Talent Management teams.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Be the expert for employment law, policy & compliance: Advise leaders and C-level on contracts, disciplinary actions, terminations and subcontractors. Keep our HR policies current, and turn new regulations (e.g., the EU Pay Transparency Directive) into pragmatic global processes.
- Drive HRIS, data & AI: Own HR data quality, and be accountable for process design, data migration and go-live of our global HRIS. Use AI and automation to remove manual work and keep processes lean.
- Run the employee lifecycle administration: Ensure seamless operations from onboarding to offboarding: contracts, compensation, absence, benefits, employee records, and payroll preparation with internal and external providers.
- Build and empower an AI-native People Operations team: Lead and develop our remote HR Administration team of five across Germany and India, evolving the function into a proactive People Operations partnering model. Strengthen the team’s voice and credibility across the organization.
- Global stakeholder management: Be the trusted partner for hiring managers in 13 countries, our management and all internal functions (e.g., Finance, IT, Talent Acquisition), balancing global standards with local needs.
Your Experience:
- Degree in HR, law, business, or similar; 6+ years in international HR Operations, ideally including first experience leading a (remote) team
- In-depth knowledge of German employment law, payroll and social security; international exposure (EU, UK, India) is a plus
- Hands-on HRIS rollout experience (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) besides strong methodological skills
- A passion for AI and automation, and a data-driven mindset
- A lean, agile and global collaboration mindset: humble, hungry and smart
- Fluent English and German, and confidence in collaborating at all levels, including top management.
